Jody Hope Gibbons is a well-known New Zealand artist, who works from her Matakana studio, just north of Auckland. Her works range from abstract painterly floral works to contemporary layered landscapes. Jody has a very extensive language of paint and is excited about surface, mixing media, textures and layers and all with stunning results. Not one to sit still , her work is ever evolving and currently becoming bolder, colourful & more gestural. She is excited about layering and then removing paint to see the reactions and surface.Jody’s work is held in private collections here and throughout the world. We always have an ever-changing selection of Jody’s work from large to small and she is open to discuss commissions through the gallery.
