Jacqui Gibbs Chamberlain

Jacqui Gibbs Chamberlain

Jacqui Gibbs Chamberlain lives and paints on an isolated farm in Port Levy, Banks Peninsula, surrounded by animals, inspiring views and family. She creates works that revolve around figurative subjects and often taking inspiration from life’s challenges, the emotional journeys we go through, and her unique surroundings.Jacqui’s artistic journey has taken her around the globe, from attending workshops in the US to exploring distant lands such as Papua New Guinea, China, India, and Samoa. Her creative practice has also led me to the presentation of a prestigious CoCa award. While the human figure remains the central focus of her work, Jacqui’s true passion lies in exploring shape, form, and composition. Through the skilful layering of ideas and paint, her artwork comes alive with vibrancy and movement, achieved through the use of different colour combinations, textures, and art mediums. Jacqui’s works are now part of art collections across New Zealand and Australia, with the ambition to reach further.“In recent years I have expanded my painting into sculpture, creating people with steel and mixed media, resulting in some truly spectacular and innovative pieces. My aim is to captivate and involve viewers in the human experience, exploring a multitude of stories that reside within us.” – Jacqui Gibbs Chamberlain
