Frida Methusalemsdottir

Born and raised in Iceland. I am now living in New
Zealand since 2002, after living in New York for 12
years.
Nature is my primary inspiration. The unspoiled
natural wilderness of both Iceland and New
Zealand, with their perfectly imperfect textures,
organic forms, and irregularities are evident in my
designs. Coming from a country where beauty is
often found in the most unexpected things; the
craggy shoreline, the lava fields, the midsummer
sun, the eerie shadows of the winter. I aspire to
create a quiet beauty, endeavoring to emulate
nature through timeless, uncomplicated and
individual design.
My chosen metals are sterling silver brass and
gold, as I feel their combined effect serves my
objective perfectly
